Sherry Lindsay, BA (Family History)
Sherry Lindsay is a professional genealogist who graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's degree in Family History and Genealogy in 2007.
Sherry's interest in genealogy didn't fully begin until 2005 when she took an introductory genealogy class in college. From there she was completely hooked and even changed her major to her newly-discovered passion. In addition to her love of genealogy, Sherry has a great interest in history and enjoys reading a wide variety of books about American history.
During her years at Brigham Young University Sherry's studies emphasized American research, particularly in the Midwest and South. She worked on the Basque Family Heritage in the United States Project. The project focused on researching Basque immigrants to the United States and linking them in a database.
After graduating Sherry worked as a genealogical consultant for FamilyLink.com. In that capacity she had the opportunity to travel and speak at conferences throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Sherry's research specialties include:
- U.S. - Southern States
- U.S. - Midwestern States
