This page will introduce you to some of the services that we offer as professional genealogists. We are set up and willing to help nearly every person with all aspects of their family history research. If you don't have the time or inclination, then we can do all of the research for you and produce a wonderful and professional legacy for your family - even if beginning the session with very little information. We can also help you if you have done a great deal of research but are stumped with a particular branch of your family tree. Another way that we help is by providing consultations and record search services. Overall, there's truly not much with regard to family history and genealogical research that we can't help you accomplish. We Do All the Research for You

Ancestry Research

Has your family history research come to a genealogical dead-end? Helping clients with problem lineages is one of our specialties. We can help your research come alive again! Are you having a hard time finding time to search for those elusive ancestors? International Ancestry Research

We will work to trace your immigrant ancestor from the United States or the American colonies to his or her origin in Europe, Latin America and many other regions. In fact, many of our professional genealogist associates travel to various countries in Europe to conduct On-site International Research several times a year. Some countries have not microfilmed their records, so traveling to these countries is often the ONLY way to make progress on your pedigree. Estimates are always free - please ask for one!

The various destinations to which ProGenealogists associates travel include Austria, the Baltic States, Belarus, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, and the Ukraine.

Family History Book Creation and Publication

ProGenealogists will assist you with every step of publishing your family history. We will walk with you through the process of conception all the way to completion. ProGenealogists's skilled employees can complete all stages of the process, including: research, writing, editing, layout, production, and even distribution. We also create and produce audio and textual oral histories. Our interviewer will travel to your home, or the home of a loved, one and spend 4 to 8 hours over the course of a few days, conducting the interviews. With high-quality digital equipment, the interviewer will use his or her skills to draw out important stories and help capture the life of the interviewer on audio DVD. This type of personal history is a wonderful addition to, or could be the primary base for, a wonderful family history to enjoy for decades.

Probate and Missing Heir Research

Our skilled team of research specialists in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Poland, Germany and other places abroad can assist you with missing heirs and probate research. Rates vary from $40 to $90 per hour depending on the nature of research, whether we can have our associate staff do a portion of the work, and the speed at which you need the work accomplished.

This service is customized to the need of the estate. Please call 800-596-3230 and ask to specifically speak with a Probate Case Manager for more information about fees and current turn around time. We have three full-time Probate Case Managers on staff.

Consultation

Are you planning a visit to Salt Lake City? A ProGenealogists associate can meet with you at the Family History Library and be your personal research guide. Perhaps you might like to purchase an extended block of email consultation time, or have an extended telephone conversation with a professional genealogist ... our Research Consultation services will provide you access to a professional genealogist at your command.

Record Search

Need just one record, or two? ProGenealogists is committed to providing the highest levels of service to its clientele. At this time, and for the first time since our beginnings in 1998, we're temporarily pausing our single item record search service. In the meantime, we'd like to suggest that you investigate several options for getting the record search help you need:  our colleagues at the Association of Professional Genealogists, ICAPGEN (Accredited Genealogists), BCG (Certified Genealogists), RAOGK (Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness), Genlighten, or Genealogyfreelancers.com. If you have the exact Family History Library call number, book, and page number, you can contact the Family History Library directly.

If you have more extensive record search and research needs and you find that the above options do not suit your needs, you might consider hiring us on an hourly basis to conduct research for you (our rates vary from $48-$90 an hour depending on the nature of the request).
