When the first born son (named for Grandfather) dies as a child and the fifth son has the same name, how is land inheritance determined?

I am looking for any relatives of Orpheus or John Goodwin born in Indiana. Orpheus in 1895, John around 1865 or a little later. There is some Indian blood in the family so I am afraid there are few records out there.

I am looking for the parents of Zephania Brown. He was married to Alice Wallace. They have at least 2 children, Alice Brown and Burton Brown. Alice Brown married Guard Proper, and they have 15 children, one of which is my grandmother. Also, I am looking for another ancestor. Guard Proper's parents are Willis Proper and Ida Deeter. Ida's parents are John Deeter and Angelina Pressler. I know Willis's parents are Samuel Proper, and his wife is Malissa but I cant find her last name. I am searching for the Taggs that were watermen in the 18th and 19th centuries. They appear to be from the Molesey, Kingston, and Thames Ditton area. My husband is the gr gr grandson of either Harry, who built the Thames Hotel, or of Thomas George who took over Walnut Tree Island, when it was renamed Tagg's Island, and he built a boat building business and a hotel there. There is a story in the family that he lost the island in a card game. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for any information on the Herres name. I am searching for my grandfather, Lawrence John Herres who was born Oct. 7, 1903 and died (unknown). I cannot find anything on him on any of the genealogy websites. His last name could be spelled Harris. I would like to know if anyone knows when he died and where he is buried. My grandmother, Agnes M. Herres is buried in St. Joseph's cemetery in Chicago, IL. I have other Herres ancestors buried in St. Boniface cemetery, in Chicago, IL and Irving Park, IL, as well. I have a great uncle, Peter P. Harris (should have been spelled Herres) who died on a Monday. He died Sept. 15, 1947 or 1952. Looked at a perpetual calendar to figure out these two years. Death notice/obituary says he is buried at St. Adelbert's cemetery in Chicago, IL but that cemetery does not acknowledge him being there.
