Hi, I have an one line friend, by the name of Christiana Roberts. I just got off line with her, and she told me how you have helped her with tracing her roots. She asked me to mention her name. Christina Roberts in Nevada. I live in Michigan and my father never knew his father. Him and his brother were put in the Childrens Aid Society when they were about 3 years old. My grandfathers name was Alexander George Mikedis. I have his social security application, and military records, and a copy of his divorce paper that was included in his military papers. Oh, I have a copy of his obit from the Jacksonville, Florida newspaper. I also have his death certificate. When he was in the Army , which he was only in for approx. 6 months due to a heart defect. Later on he tried to get military benefits, and at first he told the military he was never married but he had to get a divorce from my grandmother before he could marry the woman he had been living with I assume for years. He had told them, he was married to this woman, but he had to get a divorce from my grandmother before he could legally marry his second wife.  I was wondering what info you could find out about my grandfather.  His name was Alexander George Mikedis. He was born 3-1-1890 or 3-1-1891. I have found two different dates. Also some of the records state he was from Greece, and others state, he was from Turkey. His obit. stated he came to the states when he was 14. That is as far as I can find out. What would it cost to find out any other info? I would appreciate any help you could give.
