I am looking for any information on Peter Grant. He was born, I believe, in Berwick around 1781. I do not know who his parents were. He married Margaret Gerrish and moved to Brighton, Maine before 1830. An old writing of area history says that his sister Polly Grant, who married Richard York, also moved to this area. We don't know if Polly was his sister or maybe his niece? One of his sons, Hiram, was born in Acton, Me in 1810. I believe that Peter and Margaret were married in Berwick around 1803.

Looking for any information on John Labbe who is supposed to be born in Great Falls, Montana on 20 April 1893 or 20 April 1892. He was killed in a mining accident in Utah in 1933. I am trying to connect my Claiborne and Copiah County, Mississippi, ancestors to ones in north Alabama and around Laurens County, South Carolina. My ggfather James Monroe Wilson was born around 1845 in either SC or Al. I don't know his parents names. All I know about them is that his father died when my ggf was a small boy. I think he was born in Laurens Co., SC and then moved to northern Alabama and then to Copiah County, Ms. Somehow he was related to the Zadock Hooker family. Zadock Hooker owned a plantation in Laurens Co. SC in 1840 and in Copiah Co. Ms in 1860. My ggf served with the 24th Ms Cavalry during the WTBS. Other names connected are Scott, Maples and Dungan. I'm looking for the parents and siblings of James Phillipson head of house hold in the 1871 census England, in Barrow in Dalton 58 Hall St. I have on death cert in NZ that his parent are James a shoemaker and Isabella is the mother, but can't find them any where on records. James was married 1863 21st Nov on the cert I got from England in Kirkland Kendal. But on records here in New Zealand it says 19th Dec 1864 in Lancashire. Mary Ann(e) Fisher is James's wife. Her father a nail maker. These census are what I believe to be my ancestors even though it is spelt with only one l. Their sons were John Henry - James - George William. Daughter Isabella but not on census she could have been born1868 or just after the census was done they moved to NZ late 1871-1874 and can't find ship they left on. I think they all had a lot to do with the Kendal area in Westmoreland. Thank you.

I'm attempting to locate info on my my grandmother's family from Lenoir, NC. She was born about 1900 to 1905, Clostie Mae McLean/McClain. She was married to Coy Hodge, they had 8 children - Joe, Fay, Marcine, Bynum, Pat, Hassie, Lloyd, & Shirley. I am looking for information to show proof that my family is eligible for a CDIB card through the Choctaw Nation. My great grandfather on my fathers side went by the name of Harry Otis. I know my great-grandparents came from Hungary, I think a town called Munkosh or Monkosh. Their names pre marriage were Michael Jacob Shin (DOB- 9-12-1890) and Elizabeth Tangle or Tangel ( DOB 12-7-1896) she had two sisters Rose and Theresa. I am looking for any family member of Margaret Dudley Holt. We know that at one time she was in St. Mary's County, Maryland and that at least one child was born to her and placed for adoption through the d.s.s. in that county. I am trying to find female descendents of my Great grandmother. I need DNA of that line to identify remains that may be my father found in Korea. My father was John Francis Ellis, born 25 Aug 1913 with a legal father listed as Robert Thompson, Lansing, Wayne, Michigan. His mother Frances Isobel Jones, born 4 Jul 1889 in Winnebago, Rockport, Illinois, Father William Holstein Ellis, born 1886 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was raised by Frank Schallbach, born in Missouri, who took the name Francis John Ellis. My grandmother's mother was Marion Gertrude Elizabeth Busch (Bush) born abt. 1860 in England, married to John Paul Jones, born 1861 in Illinois, married abt. 1888, died abt. 1900 in Rockport. They had separated and my great grandmother moved to Detroit, the oldest son stayed in Rockport with his father. they owned Jones Transfer Company. John, Marion and Frances went with their mother Marion GE Bush to Detroit. The kids stayed with Aunt Sarah while mom worked as a housekeeper for a wealthy family. My grandmother had Marion Thompson (dead, no offspring) and William Holstein Thompson while married to Robert. They divorced and Marion stayed with her dad, and William was raised by David Masters Ellis and Elizabeth Holstein Ellis, parents to William Holstein who married my grandmother, and they had my dad John Francis Ellis. My grandmother also had a sister named Marion who married William Dill. I don't understand why I can't follow the Ellis line, but the government lady said I needed a descendent from my grandmother, but that I wouldn't work. Any help you can give would be great. Lillian Luedke was born Oct. 17, 1887 and passed Dec. 2, 1946. She was married to Raffaello Battolla. Raffaello Joseph Battolla went from Massa Carrara, Italy to Argentina, and then to the United States. He married (in San Francisco) Miss Lillian Luedke. Lillian was born in San Francisco, CA. They had 5 children: Joseph, Maria, Edna, Armondo, & Fred. Joseph died to a gunshot wound when he was 16 yrs.old. I have no idea about my Grandfather before coming to the States. Harriett and Thomas (age 6) are on 1861 census living at 11 Rose St., Redcliffe, Bristol. But I cannot find Thomas senior anywhere on the 1861 census although they are together on 1871, 1881, 1891, and Harriet appears as a widow in 1901. I am looking for my great grandparents of Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. Joseph and Anna Kristoff (Vasko). Joseph was born in 1855 in Hungary (I do not know the birth place) and Anna Vasko was born in 1858 in Hungary (do not know birth place). I believe they came over as singles, but I do not know when or where they landed. Anna apparently followed her brother Stefan Vasco to the U.S.A. Joseph and Anna married in 1881 in New Jersey and their first child Mary was born in 1883, followed by Annie 1886, Katie 1889 and Lizzie 1891. They then migrated to Esterhazy with Count Esterhazy between 1891 and 1894. They had 4 additional children Barbara 1894, Agnes 1897, a boy named Joseph (I do not have birth date or death date on this boy, but he died as a baby) Joseph another boy was born in 1900. I have then all except the father in the 1906 Census and Anna as the head of household in 1911 with Agnes and Joseph (the son). Anna died in 1915 or maybe 1923 information I have is that she was 65 when she died but I was also told she died in 1915. I need to find birthplaces in Hungary for both of them, and any information about Joseph the Dad after 1906 Census. Would really appreciate any gaps you could fill in for me. Thanks Lenore.

I am looking for information on Nettie Prichard or Pritchard's family. She married Charles William Estep and their first son, Shelby was born in 1920. Nettie or her real name was Neta was raised in Kentucky in the Beattyville area, I believe Lee County to be exact. I can only account for four all of whom were baptized at St. Bernard's in Easton. Elizabeth born in 1858 does not show up in 1860. I have her Baptismal certificate but could not find a grave. Both Grandparents were born in Ireland. I would like to find where and when they were married and what happened to Eliz.

I am searching for information regarding Will and Ollie Chambers, my paternal grandparents. They had 5 children that I know of, maybe more. Hi, I am researching my husband George's family, the Rennick family. My husband is from Sligo Town, Co. Sligo, Eire. His father was John Joe Rennick. He was born in 1907 and had quite a few brothers and sisters including, Forrie 'Florence', Cissie, Elizabeth, Caroline, George and others. His father and mother were Alfred DOB 1 May 1871 and Caroline. Alfred had brothers and sisters, some of whom were born in Derry but Alfred was born in Sligo as were other siblings. John Joe and his brothers and sisters were put into an orphanage when they were young. This orphanage was Artane in Dublin. The BLM Eastern Division has a website where one can access who received land patents from the land office. You can also type in the land descriptions and the name of the person receiving the patent will be displayed. Unfortunately, some of the land apparently was gotten from the government thru means other than thru pre-emption or homestead. How can I find out how a particular described land plot was transferred from Government Lands to personal hands. This has to be recorded somewhere.

I have found the original family that came over to Nova Scotia, Canada from Ireland. but am having trouble with census records from different sources not always corroborating. the original ancestor was Thomas Tanner and Rachel Clarke. They had the following children (in order) Elizabeth - 1800 (Bandon, Ireland), Meoy-1803, Walter- 1805, Rachel - 1807, Thamer - 1809, Jonathan - 1812, Richard - 1815, Benjamin - 1817, Thomas Jr. 1820 (Pictou, Nova Scotia) 1820, Robert-1822, ann-1826. some of the children died. Our line is from Richard tanner. but we are trying to establish cousins by nailing down the children born to each married couple. sometimes this is straight forward and sometimes it seems impossible. We are amateurs and just would like to know if there is a more logical way then following hunches and then cross referencing them and with luck finding a reference to their parents. Right now a question is if a certain Benjamin Tanner (Irish ancestry and a shoemaker) is one of the family. The family is a long line of boot and shoe manufacturers and Irish and church of England. I found a Benjamin tanner married to Norah Dasy (or Darcey) both from Ireland with daughters Mary E. Tanner and Martha Tanner from LDS site according to census data. I found a death record for Mary E. Tanner listing the parents and sister. I found a similar family group in Nova Scotia's vital stats but the parents at the daughter "Martha" marriage were listed as Benjamin and "Ann" so I don't know if her divorced and remarried? or if this is a different family group. Please help me sort out of these are the same people! let me know if you need more info I have family tree charts in pdf that might me more organized.

I am trying to find any information for a Silas or Cyrus Dean who was born in Kansas in the early 1800 and was married to a Jerima Michael.
