Mary McAuliffe, BA (Hons), PhD
Mary McAuliffe is a professional genealogist and historian based in Dublin, Ireland. She was awarded both her BA (Hon’s) and Ph.D. in Medieval History from Trinity College, Dublin. She has been a professional genealogist, specializing in Irish research, since 1997. Mary carries out research in Ireland, and has specialty in both the modern records (18th to 20th century) and earlier records (16th and 17th century). She has qualifications in reading Latin and Old Irish.
Her own research interests include researching medieval Irish sculpture and medieval Irish women’s history, and she has published in this field. She also teaches part-time in the area of Irish women's history, and has been teaching on the BA (Modular) and MA in Women's Studies at University College Dublin. She is a member of the Irish Women’s History Network.
