Church of Ireland Parish Registers and Vestry Minutes at the RCBL in Dublin

The Representative Church Body Library (RCBL) is the official repository for Church of Ireland records in the 26 counties of the Republic of Ireland. Two inventories, one of the parish registers (of baptism, marriage and burial) and the other of the parish vestry minutes preserved at the RCBL, are hosted here with permission of the library. These databases do NOT contain the names of individual people or families; these are listings of available records by parish. The databases list holdings of the RCBL up through May 2002.


Church of Ireland Parish Registers Inventory - Searchable Database

The Parish Registers inventory is searchable by county and parish. You must provide (or choose from the drop-down menus) both the county and parish in order to find out what parish registers the RCBL has for that parish. An asterisk placed beside the name of a parish means that the registers for this parish at the RCBL are, in part or whole, copies of or extracts from originals destroyed in 1922 during the fire at the Public Record Office of Ireland at Four Courts in Dublin.
