England Genealogy
Neil D. Holden
Welcome to our research page about English genealogy! Over the centuries the English
have established themselves as a nation of record-keepers. Fortunately, many of
the records kept over the centuries have survived through to the present day,
and offer excellent opportunities to successfully conduct English genealogical
research. Although research using English records can often be challenging, the
rewards can be great. If you wish to research the English ancestry of your
family in the 19th, 18th, 17th centuries, or beyond, ProGenealogists can help.
The ProGenealogists team is familiar with all aspects of English research. We
are located in the perfect place for anyone who wishes to pursue their English
ancestry, just a short walk from the Family History Library in Salt Lake City.
This repository contains a huge collection of English resources, resources that
are scattered throughout the counties of England. A researcher wishing to
conduct ancestry research in England would have to travel constantly throughout
the country in order to find the records they are looking for. The
ProGenealogists team, on the other hand, has access to many of these records all
under one roof, as well as having an extensive network of colleagues in England
itself.
On this website you will find information pertaining to records most commonly
used when conducting English genealogical research.
You’ll find
information categorized by type and
region.
Be sure also to visit our pages on research in
Scotland, Wales, Australia, New Zealand
and India. Many people tracing their English ancestry require research in
one or more of these countries at some point. So, feel free to explore and learn
more about British research!
