Danish Maps
Maps showing the boundaries of counties at different time periods is very important for identifying records in Denmark. The county borders changed in 1660, 1794, and 1970. It is also helpful to see the areas of Sweden, Norway, and Germany that at different times belonged to Germany. Hopefully the following maps will help genealogists. In the future county maps showing parish and district boundaries may be added to this list:
- Denmark Regions
- Denmark Early Territories
- Danish Counties 1660-1794
- Danish Counties 1794-1970
- Danish Counties 1970-present
See also guides on Copenhagen and Schleswig-Holstein for maps of those areas.
