JOB OPENING - Case Manager and Genealogist

PURPOSE – To find a competent, innovative individual to communicate with and research for the company’s clients in a corporate setting. ONLY those candidates with STRONG research skills and three years professional experience will be considered.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Seeking a professional genealogist who is willing to be hands on and willing to do the work in these areas:

Essential Job Functions:  An excellent candidate for this job position will:

• be proficient in many, and always seeking to learn about newly discovered, genealogical sources from various repositories around the world,
• be proficient in conducting research in different types of archives and various different sources (as in court records, Internet, public records databases, newspapers), as well as the usual genealogical data sources,
• be able to expertly and efficiently conduct genealogical research in the above-stated sources and repositories to reconstruct family relationships,
• be able to write well and present research findings in an organized,  and structured manner,
• be facile with regard to adopting new computer skills and must have a high level of typing and keyboarding skills and speed,
• be able to communicate well to answer inquiries about our research services and conduct sales functions,
• be able to manage research sessions and the work of other employees, contractors, and agents,
• be detail oriented to ensure accuracy on reports, data, and conclusions,
• have excellent problem solving skills,
• be able to read at least two other foreign languages at a basic level.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Must have strong research and writing skills, in addition to communication skills.
• 5-8 years of research experience; at least 3 years as a professional
• Bachelor's Degree, Certification, or Accreditation, or other similar formal educational background.
• Self-starter who enjoys working with clients directly and as a member of a research team.
• Must be well-skilled with computers, including Microsoft Office.
