FIND:  CENSUS: 1920 need to locate, maybe in Florida by then.

Christoph Christou writes:  The census says he was a carpenter which may mean he was a Mason, but FL has no record. His grandson Joseph thinks he was a Mason and moved to Florida where he lived to an old age and died there in a Masonic Home. He thinks some of the Barnhousers went off to Cleveland, Ohio area. Agnes said his name was George Edward Barnhouser (as well as the death cert. of his son Joseph) but his daughter's social security record shows it to be Edward E. Barnhouser. Agnes did say he went by the name Edward. She said his dau. Kathleen moved out to marry as her father did not approve. Joseph Jr. said her name was Aunt Katherine Conners.

DEATH:  Mrs. Edward Barnhouser died Cumberland Allegany County MD Mar. 12, 1902 age 38y born MD female white married, wife of Edward Barnhouser died from hemmorhage of bowels lasted several weeks, reported by H.S. Wailes.

OBITUARY:  The Evening Times March 13, 1902, "South Cumberland News."
Information from Obituary Record:  Death of Mrs. Barnhouse. Mrs. Ed Barnhouse died yesterday afternoon at two o'clock of typhoid fever. Her remains will be taken to Harper's Ferry for interment. She is survived by her husband and six children, five of whom are quite small.

OBITUARY:  The Cumberland Evening Times March 14, 1902, "South Cumberland News."
Information from Obituary Record:  The Funeral of Mrs. Barnhouse occurred this afternoon at 2 o'clock. The remains were interred in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Barnhouse was born at Harper's Ferry. She has been a sufferer for many years and found in death a peaceful rest. The small children, who survive her should receive the attention of the people of Cumberland, so that they be properly cared for. Submitted by Christoph Christou.

Note from Christoph Christou: Social Security records show Katherine F. Connors born Jul 7 1900 Cumberland, MD died Oct. 1973 at Greenville SC parents listed Edward E. Barnhauser and Loretta M. Smith. #248-92-0913 (this was entered in 1966)  Later date of birth was given as Dec. 7, 1897.  (Census lists her sister Unice as born at that time but shows another child born Jan. 1900, they could not be 6 months apart,
still need to confirm date of birth then).

Note from Christoph Christou: Bernard said he had an aunt Kathleen Fitch who was a sister of his father. Agnes said she lived in Greenville S.C. maybe died about 1974. She thinks she was Katherine Conners.  Joseph Barnhouser says she may have married a Walt Conners. He thinks she lived in N.C. and that her husband was in the service and once stationed Ft. Meade (high up in rank).

Information from Obituary Record:  Death of Mrs. Barnhouse. Mrs. Ed Barnhouse died yesterday afternoon at two o'clock of typhoid fever. Her remains will be taken to Harper's Ferry for interment. She is survived by her husband and six children, five of whom are quite small.

OBITUARY:  The Cumberland Evening Times March 14, 1902, "South Cumberland News."
Information from Obituary Record:  The Funeral of Mrs. Barnhouse occurred this afternoon at 2 o'clock. The remains were interred in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Barnhouse was born at Harper's Ferry. She has been a sufferer for many years and found in death a peaceful rest. FIND:  CENSUS: 1920 need to locate, maybe in Florida by then.

Christoph Christou writes:  The census says he was a carpenter which may mean he was a Mason, but FL has no record. His grandson Joseph thinks he was a Mason and moved to Florida where he lived to an old age and died there in a Masonic Home. He thinks some of the Barnhousers went off to Cleveland, Ohio area. Agnes said his name was George Edward Barnhouser (as well as the death cert. of his son Joseph) but his daughter's social security record shows it to be Edward E. Barnhouser. Agnes did say he went by the name Edward. She said his dau. Kathleen moved out to marry as her father did not approve. Joseph Jr. said her name was Aunt Katherine Conners.
