1. Richard Barnhouse was born 1780/1790 near Frederick Co., Maryland. He died 1838/1848 in Loudoun Co., Virginia. [Notes] Richard married Margaret Jane White on 17 Jan 1816 in Frederick Co., Maryland. Margaret was born 1801/1802 in Maryland. [Notes]

They had the following children:

+ 2 M i John Barnhouse was born 14 Sep 1819 and died after 1870.
  3 M ii Male Barnhouse was born 1822/1825 in Loudoun Co., Virginia.
  4 M iii Male Barnhouse was born 1825/1827 in Loudoun Co., Virginia.
+ 5 M iv Randolph David Barnhouse was born 12 Feb 1827 and died 27 Nov 1895/1897.
+ 6 M v Sydney Barnhouse was born 17 Feb 1831 and died after 1880.
+ 7 F vi Sarah Jane Barnhouse was born 29 Mar 1836 and died after 1860.
+ 8 M vii Jonas P. Barnhouse was born 29 Mar 1836 and died 12 Oct 1910.
