1. Jacob BARNHOUSE was born 1785 in Hampshire Co., Virginia. He died in Union Twp., Carroll Co., Ohio. [Notes]  Jacob married Sara CAPPER in Hampshire Co., Virginia. Sara was born 1781 in Hampshire Co., Virginia. She died in Union Twp., Carroll Co., Ohio.  [Notes]

Jacob and Sara had the following children:

+	2	M	i	John BARNHOUSE was born 1805 and died 12 Jan 1841.
+	3	M	ii	William BARNHOUSE was born 1806 and died before 1880.
+	4	F	iii	Elizabeth Ann BARNHOUSE was born 1810 and died about 1833.
+	5	F	iv	Melinda BARNHOUSE was born 13 Mar 1816 and died 13 Jul 1896.
	6	M	v	Daniel BARNHOUSE was born 1818.
				Daniel married Mary Ann CROSS on 8 Nov 1840 in Tuscarawas Cty, OH. Mary was born 1818.
	7	F	vi	Mary BARNHOUSE was born 1818.[Notes]
+	8	F	vii	Mariah BARNHOUSE was born 1820.
+	9	F	viii	Margaret BARNHOUSE was born 24 Jun 1822.
