iv. Franklin (died in infancy)
My cousin, Patrick, researched the Leggett family back in the late 1970's early 1980's. He has differences that I would like to respectfully submit to you for consideration. James' full name was James Nichols Leggett. He was born 25 Apr 1819 Monongalia Co, VA and died 25 Mar 1901 St. Clair Co, MO. Their children's names were:
Harriet
Elizabeth Malinda
Mary E.
W. Franklin
Juliana Alice
Franklin was born 23 or 28 Feb 1853 Berrien Co, MI and died 5 or 15 May 1885 Cameron, Clinton, MO. Regretfully, Patrick, died a year and half ago. All that I have is a copy of the family history he put together for his parents' families. There is a copy of James' Civil War certificate of disability for discharge from the 14th Vol Inf of West Virginia which clearly gives the name James N Leggett. I don't know Patrick's source for James' death date. Patrick's father, Lawrence, was aquainted with some of his greataunts and uncles and was the source for the names of Frank's siblings.
