Barnhouse Genealogy Guests 2003
I think this site is a God send ...
Descendent of Mary L. Barnhouse Imlay (Frank H.), my Grandmother
My grandfather was Claude Barnhouse. He died before I was born but I wanted to know about my mothers genealogy, so now I am trying to work my way back.
I really like your Barnhouse book information. I am the great grand-daughter of Sarah Ann (Barnhouse) Warsing. If anyone has any pictures of them please contact me.
What a wonderful enlightening web site. I am so proud to be a Barnhouse and this has been very helpful for my research for Daughters of The American Revolution, which I am eligible for. Reba Ann Barnhouse, Dufur Oregon
My Great great grandfather was Jacob Livingood Barnhouse, b. May 05, 1843 in Ohio and died August 12, 1917 in Mitchell, Oregon. He married Martha Washington Conger Sept 03, 1870 in Bloomington, McLean Co, IL. I would like and info on J. L. Barnhouse, he is as far back as I can research. Thanks. Reba Ann Barnhouse
I didn't see the name Sylas Seymore Barnhouse listed on your site. He married a cousin of my mother's from Noble Co. Indiana. Jeany
For Perry Barnhouse you show only his DOB 1839 and that he was born in Monongalia County, Virginia. I have his Census info plus his date of death of March 14, 1921, as well as his wife's date of death of Aug 9, 1926. His wife was Susan Petty Westall Barnhouse. I also have some info on his children. Bob Westall
A Barnhouse resource! The 1880 census for Paulding County, Ohio list a Mary HOOVER, widow, 54 born in Ireland and her 32 year-old son, David BARNHOUSE a laborer born in Ohio. Anyone recognize these two?
My name is Donald M. Barnhouse. I am an Engineer for the FDOT. I am originally from Clendenin West Virginia, I worked for NASA during the APOLLO days. Apollo 11 flight placed the first man on the moon. Landed Neal Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin on the Sea of Tranquility..."The Eagle Had Landed" I look back and reflect on those days and wonder if anyone in the whole world knows that it was a BARNHOUSE that took a great part in getting the first man on the moon? Who would care? May God bless all Barnhouses everywhere.
I have been looking very much and I found more entries on your site and it is very well done. Very enjoyable
I am at a roadblock. I have traced my Barnhouse line back to William Barnhouse (b 7/1/1848) Son of Samuel and Susanna (Stewart?). I think Francis is in there someplace, but I am not sure. We are from Carroll Co. Ohio. I was told 3 brothers came over from Germany to fight in a war as mercenaries and then settled in Pa. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Laurie Gates
A very neat person from this site (Mary) really made my day. I didn't have much info to give her but she found who I was looking for. I will be back to this site alot! Thank you Mary!

What a great site! My grandfather was Darcy Barnhouse. He lived in Doe Run, MO. He died in 1967. My Father was Henry Donald Barnhouse. I am a teacher and treasure hunter. I helped find the "Atocha" Shipwreck off of Key West in 1985. I continue to dive for treasure/artifacts to this day off of Florida's East coast. I live in Cape Girardeau, MO. THANK YOU!
I never knew there were so many Barnhouse's in the world ... However, my uncle, Kenny, is still the best looking of them all.
Very nice site.

Great idea. I am the husband of a g.g.g.grand-daughter of Carrico James Barnhouse. There are some Warsings, and Woods, and Goffs in her Tourney ancestry. I would like to compare what I have with anyone who is interested. My email is: pippin_chuck-at-hotmail.com
Just been working on the Gottke side of the family and was wondering what information you may have. I live in Philo, Ohio, in Muskingum County. Thank you.
Great site! It was wonderful to be able to see my gggggrandfather's daughter, Phebe Clayton who married Andrew Barnhouse so well represented on your site.
I am researching Barnhouses and Warsings and anyone in between. I am trying to put a complete genealogy together for my grandsons. My husband comes down from Carico James Barnhouse, Sarah Ann Barnhouse, Mary Emma Warsing, Edna Ruth Tourney. I would like to complete all lines of brothers, sisters, etc., if possible.
I am the great granddaughter of William H. Warsing and Sarah Ann Barnhouse.
I have lots of information on Abraham Price's family who married Francis Barnhouse if you would like it.
Looking for information about William Harrison Barnhouse, his daughter married John Michael Meffert in Buchanan, Mi about 1884. I'm a direct descendant of the Meffert family. thank you Dan Nelson
Hi. I was doing a social studies project when I came across this site. I am the great niece of George I. Rosedale and granddaughter of his sister Martha Rosedale, one of the three "survivors" that you said existed under the Rosedale name. I don't know all of their names but I do know that in West Virginia, there are very very many descendants of that name. There is a saying in that part that "you can't swing a dead cat around in the air around here without hitting a Rosedale" If you have any information about the Rosedale, Green, or Terlson ancestry, please contact me. Thank you.
Sorry. I just entered a comment but I forgot to say one thing. Whoever created this site, there is an annual Green Family Reunion in Romney, West Virginia. If you would like any info on that please email me and i will try to find out from my grandmother. Also, I have a bit of info about a very interesting occurrence that happened in the Rosedale family. I will have to find the year from my grandma but when she was a little girl, her mother, (I think her name is Mary Bell Green, but her name IS listed on this site already.) and all the children in the family were trying to escape from their father who was a bad person. They were trying to escape by train, so the entire town gathered at the station and formed a circle around the family to keep the father away until they had left aboard the train. I found this very interesting and would very much appreciate it if you would please post that on the site.
I would like to get on the email list if there is one.
Great Site!! You've done a lot of research. I am not a Barnhouse, but my wifes G.Grandmother was Sarah Ann Barnhouse, daughter of Carrico Barnhouse. I am having a ball researching her side of the family.
I am the great Granddaughter of Carico Barnhouse and and Emily Wood Barnhouse. My mother was Nancy Barnhouse Howe....I am so glad to find this site and I thank Elsie Rarey for sending the URL to me. |
