Barnhouse Genealogy Guests 2001
My great grandmother was Magnolia Barnhouse and she married George Washington Shugars. My grandfather was Howard Shugars. If anyone has any stories about these three, please email me. I know they were colorful people. Thanks
Nice site, looking for a Lee Fleming who lived in Ok. near Clayton
This has been helpful in finding some info on Liberty Dragoo, who was the 4th child of Jane M. Barnhouse and Ewell Dragoo. FYI-Liberty was married to Celestia A.(Hunaker). I have a list of their children if you're interested. Thanks.
My father is Jack Barnhouse of Clendenin, WVA. Just found this web page. This is great!
Enjoyed your site very much. Did not find the Barnhouse I was trying to locate. If any information arises regarding Maria Catherine Barnhouse born around Germantown, Ohio married Jacob Livengood; please let me know. Her second marriage was around Union City, Randolph Co., IN around 1879. Maria died 05 Feb 1922 in Union City. I am a descendant of her second marriage to Riley Mikesell.
This is the first time I have visited this site. My maiden name is Barnhouse. Just doing a little research. We've been raised in a small town in South Dakota and at the present time, I'm not sure were my ancestors are from.
Thank you so much for this site. I have found out so much about my family. My

John and Mary Barnhouse of Randolph county Va.are my Gr.Gr.Gr.Gr.Gr.Gr.
grandparents. My mother was one of 13 children born to Clara and Harvey Barnhouse.
The most amazing thing is that when my mother was a young woman she was the
image of Joanna Barnhouse. Thank you.
Researching the CARTER family, and Lizzie BARNHOUSE b. May 07, 1849 WV [or VA?] was married to John Hooper CARTER in Grant Co., Indiana on October 18, 1871. The Carter Family History Book says that Lizzie was the daughter of Henry Barnhouse and Matilda Evins [notice your site has YOST]. The book also states that "When about six years old her father and mother died, leaving her an orphan indeed. A kind aunt took her to Grant county, Ind., where she had a good home in good society and grew to womanhood." The Matthews, Grant Co., IN IOOF Cemetery has a listing for the following: Barnhouse, Capitelia dau of Lizzie Barnhouse died Mar. 15, 1870 aged 3y.8m.4d. I am supposing that this was an out of wedlock child. Believe that John Hooper Carter and Lizzie Barnhouse had a daughter, Zora, who married Robert Bradbury in 1905, Grant Co., IN. Would like to correspond with any descendants of this family to help fill in blanks in our Carter research. Thank you.
Looking for John BOWEN, son of John Bowen and Maraget SWEET (both parents
born in S.C.), and son John was born in Zanesville, Ohio in 1865. John has one
sister named Mary born in South Carolina in 1863. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi, I'm new to genealogy. I was sent this site address because my maiden name is Truman. I hope to find info here for my family tree. This looks like a great site. Thanks for your hard work! Peace, Linda Tiedge
Natalie: It's been a long time since I've reviewed your efforts. My job has
pulled me away from this hobby over the last 2-years. One note: My last name on
the home page should be "BERGH". Your work is being enjoyed by many
people. Thanks again! Howard
Your page has helped me to know more about the Cottrells. My mother was a Cottrill. I have noticed that the two different spellings occur within the same family.
Susan Petty Westall b 10/1/1852 married Perry Barnhouse b 1839 in 1882. I had
located Perry and his family in Monongalia County, VA in the 1850 U.S. Census.
After that nothing. :-( I have been looking for some time for something more on
them. Last night I found him with his name misspelled in the 1900 U.S. Census in
Lawrenceville City, Lawrence County, IL. :-) I have their four children and
their dates of birth. I don't know if this is of benefit to you but if so I
would be glad to share info. I am now trying to find them in the 1910 and 1920
U.C. Census. I am interested in starting a Westall Web site and I really like how you have
this one. Bob
My father was Henry Barnhouse Sr.He was raised in Doe Run MO. HE was the son of Darcy & Eliabeth Barnhouse.
I live in Missouri and stumbled across this site. If anybody wants to e-mail me by all means do so. I am interested in anything you have to ask or say about the Barnhouse family. |
