Barnhouse Genealogy Guests 2000
I was looking for chart ideas to compile a family tree chart and ran into your site. Thanks for being there. I'll use something from your site's ideas. Again, thanks for having the foresight of such a need. a.a.
My grandmother was Rose Ann Elizabeth Barnhouse, aka Anna Barnhouse Wright. Her father was Ira Morgan Barnhouse, born in Sharon, OH (Noble Co). His father was George E. Barnhouse, Jr. married to Roseann McCune. I have this information in a family Bible that was passed down from my grandmother. Your site has filled in many blanks for me. It was especially nice to find it so soon after beginning in genealogy! Really made it seem worthwhile to use the internet. Thanks for the work done!
Looking for information regarding Mary Laberta (Barnhouse) Imlay married to Frank Imlay or her brother Lawrence Barnhouse. Zanesville, Ohio
Was attempting to get more info on my name and family. Father Jerry, Grandfather George. George was to have come from the Marietta Area. Any info please e-mail me. Thank You.

Thank you! I have finally found a page that I can RELATE to!! The info regarding Raymond Berkley Barnhouse does not seem to be quite correct. I am his grandson, by (Irvin) Berkley Barnhouse (10/16/24-02/15/97). My father was the one who married Helen "Elizabeth" (actually NMN) Thayer (02/21/28-present). Granddad married Lovetta ? Cooper, but I have no details. I am going to visit next week and will try to get more info. Amos collected lots of data before he died, but I don't believe anyone ever looked at it. Will do my best to spend a few hours looking over that stuff and provide the site with some updated information. The picture of the old Nolan House doesn't do it justice - it was/is such a beautiful place. Darn the Depression!!
I was the wife of Harvey Willis Barnhouse, we had three children a daughter and twin sons...he died several years ago before the children really got to know him. So I was really excited when I happen upon the web site. He was born and raised in Parkersburg, WV...thank you again for sharing this info.
My mother's mother was Lula Elizabeth Barnhouse. She married Ed Rollen. She was born in 1889. Her father was Solomon, who according to her lived and she was born in West Virginia. She died in Muncie, IN in 1977.
Looking for info on Elizabeth Mull Barnhouse who married Daniel Simmons May 113, 1824. Probably in Ohio. Looking for info on Elizabeth. Kind of think her mother's name may have been Mull because of the middle name. Elizabeth died Nov. 10, 1881. Anyone know who her parents were?
Just stopping by to research William Staggs Married to Lucinda.
I am the daughter of Jim Barnhouse and Granddaughter of Ethel Pack Barnhouse and Loren Barnhouse. Thanks Darrell for having us listed. Hope to hear from you soon.
Very interesting and useful web site. I have just recently started to research genealogy. My great-great grandparents were Moses BARNHOUSE and Martha HUFFMAN Barnhouse. I would appreciate hearing from anyone with information regarding this line of the Barnhouses.
I recently purchased property which surrounds the Barnthouse Cemetery in
Northwestern Garrett County. I know that William and Polly Barnthouse sold some
of their property to Jasper Barnthouse, (Probably their son). Jasper married
Annie B. Umbel 3/30/1890. I'm looking for additional information about William
and Polly as well as the children of Jasper and Annie B. especially on their
children:
Mary C. Quinter Orpha
Looking for George Barnhouse line, John Moore line or Randolph Co, Va, and Nelson McGhee line
I saw the name Barnhouse in the Mineral County homepage and remembered that my cousin Debbie Decker Married a Scott Barnhouse from Mineral County back in the 70s early 80s so I got curious and started looking around. To my amazement, I found my great-grandmother Clara Arbutus Green whom I could find no information on anywhere else. Little did I know that her mother was a Barnhouse. What an amazing find it was for me. Thanks to all who are responsible for this site. This site put many puzzle pieces together for me. Thanks again.
My grand father was Delbert Starcher. I have some of the Starcher history. If you would like more info please e-mail me at kmcc72-at-hotmail.com. Thanks Karen
I stumbled across your site as I was looking for Leggett kin. I found one other Leggett reference and have emailed to see if there is a connection. I really have enjoyed looking around your site. I'll be back from time to time.
I'm yet another Barnhouse trying to find more of my ancestry (granddaughter of Richard Earl and Mary Joann Barnhouse), please feel free to contact me at the above e-mail address if you wish.
Thank you, thank you! I'm a descendent of the children of Frances Barnhouse and Abraham Price, specifically their son Ephriam Price. It's been a wonderful thrill to fill in the Barnhouse blanks. And I've finally found out where Thomas Smoot Price got his middle name! Thanks again, Nancy Price Platnick
Line of descent from John Barnhouse b, 18ll Monongalia (Preston) Co., WV (Hampshire Co., VA) and Eliza Ann Shillingburg b, Sep 7, 1817 Hardy Co., VA. Seek proof as to which brother (Henry b. I am the great great great granddaughter of Carico Barnhouse and your site helped me learn more about the Barnhouses. Thank you for helping me when I thought I had hit a spot I couldn't get through.
I am a descendant of Judiah Higgins and Catherine Barnhouse through Hesikiah K. Higgins. Complete dates for Hesikiah: b. 7 Aug 1844 d. 10 May 1925 in Elizabeth W. VA. We are tracing the Higgins line and came across this website that confirms some of our information and fills in the Barnhouse side. Great job!
I have not ck'd the list in a long time - maybe with an older address, too. I would like to make contact with Kay Barnhouse Stout regarding different data on the Dotts family. Hope she is still a member here & will see this request. I do not have new data on the Barnhouse lines. Helen
I have enjoyed reading all the info. My great-great grandmother was Mathilda Coontz, Barbara Barnhouse's daughter. My grandmother was Laverna Hill that married Jackson Robson Salmon in Texas.
I am the ninth generation coming from John Barnhouse. I was so happy to find your site and give it to my aunt. The hug she gave me is worth all the work . Thank you for everything! I cant wait to help update the Barnhouses to include all if us.
I was searching for info on my ggggrandfather Thomas Jay Pearson and decided to try the Barnhouse name as his dau's Anna Martha and Mary Ellen married Barnhouse brothers. I have pictures of Jacob, George and William Barnhouse that I will send. Great website!
very nice site.
My great-grandmother was Rosanna Barnhouse. She was a daughter of Frederick Barnhouse. Frederick died in a civil war battle. Thanks for all the information. Do you know anything about Mary McCune---the first wife of Thomas ( Frederick's father)?
I'm researching Harvey Barnhouse and Anna Martha Pearson.
Searching for Barnhouses in Oregon. Was aware of a Donald Barnhouse that recently passed away in Corvallis. I am the daughter of Kenneth and Anna Barnhouse and granddaughter of Harvey and Gladys Barnhouse in Ohio. Also, I am frequently questioned at church if the Christian author Donald Barnhouse is of any relation. I don't believe the two Donalds mentioned above are the same people. Thanks for the help! My dad introduced me to this site. What a wealth of info!
I am the daughter of Mary Barnhouse Rafferty Wright, daughter of Marshall S. and Georgie Barnhouse of Clindenin, W.Va. Two of my cousins have signed this guest book (Dianna Ray Queener and Anita Kay Barnhouse Matheney) and also my son, John Steward Reynolds. I named John after his great grandfather Marshall Steward Barnhouse. Marshall and Georgie had 12 children. The Barnhouse family in Clindenin is a great family!
Just wanted to let you know that we are still researching the Barnhouse family in Columbus, Ohio. Finally found a death certificate for Wesley (Clyde's brother who died very young). Had a family funeral this past week. Marcia Hamrick, related to my mother's mother. The family is really getting sparse. Keep in touch.
I was so amazed after typing my grandmother's name into the search screen that all this information was there. I'm new to genealogy and spend a lot of time spinning my wheels. My grandmother's name was Alberta Smith, daughter of Amy Moore and Joseph Smith of Putnam Co. WV. I'm looking at her birth certificate right now. As for suggestions, I don't think you need any. It's wonderful! I know some of the Hall's that you mentioned. They were my great Aunts and Uncles. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.
Don't forget to let me know when you solve the Andrew Cottrell puzzle. Mary
