Information from Land Record:  Susanna BARNHOUSE, George W. BARNHOUSE and Elizabeth, his wife, Daniel HELMS and Delilah, his wife, and John MOORE and Polly, his wife, all of Randolph Co., VA to John KOONTZ. For $50.00, Susanna BARNHOUSE, et. al. sold to John KOONTZ land in Randolph Co., VA on the "waters of Sugar Creek a Branch of the Tygers Valley river it being the same land that John BARNHOUSE conveyed to George BARNHOUSE, Decd. we therefore as the heirs of the said George BARNHOUSE, Decd. doth hereby convey all of our several parts and shares of said Land and bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at a stake in a field thence due north 160 to a white oak thence N 70 West 55 poles to a stake on John BARNHOUSE old line thence due south 98 poles to a Whiteoak thence S 20 degrees E 100 poles to a whiteoak thence N 63 E 32 poles to the beginning containing Fifty acres ..."  Signed:  Susanna (X) BARNHOUSE, George W.
